Symantec website icon development
Icon design and development is with a doubt the most difficult and time-consuming task of a design project. Subjectivity rears its ugly head as every team member debates the meaning and symbolism of each icon and its elements. Often times the number of design iterations and revisions can eclipse the span of sketches for the remainder of the website design project.
It is often our recommendation that our clients forego icons for more useful and space-conscious "word buttons". Too often, as in this particular case, the icons are accompanied by labels, eliminating the need for an icon in the first place.
